Zusammenfassung / Abstract

Reported here is the solution-phase synthesis of tetrahedral branched DNA-hybrids consisting of an organic core and four dimer or trimer oligonucleotide "arms". The focus was on hybrids with tetraphenyladamantane as core. Hybrids with self-complementary sequences as DNA arms, as well as hybrids with complementary sequences to another hybrid were synthesized. Furthermore, DNA hybrids with sequences suitable for the formation of metallo-base pairs were designed and synthesized. The long-term goal of this work is the assembly of designed nanoporous crystal lattices through Watson-Crick base pairing between the DNA arms of hybrids.
