Christian Hespe Interconnected Systems with Stochastic Communication: Decomposition Methods for Analysis and Synthesis
176 Seiten, Dissertation Technische Universität Hamburg (2025), Softcover, A5
Large-scale dynamic systems with distributed control often rely on communication networks that are prone to random packet loss. While this randomness is generally disregarded in current approaches, it can potentially result in instability and suboptimal performance. In order to mitigate these issues, this thesis proposes a framework that is both scalable to large interconnected systems and explicitly considers the random packet loss during analysis and controller synthesis. Initially covering homogeneous loss distributions, the results are subsequently extended to handle heterogeneous probabilities, spatio-temporal dependencies, and time-varying topologies.
